Bio
Sarah Cordonnier, LPCC-S is a Professional Clinical Counselor- Supervision Designation, who has completed several doctoral-level courses in Community Care and Counseling (Marriage & Family Cognate) and works with children, adolescents and adults with mental issues and/or emotional and behavioral issues. Sarah received her Master of Art in Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2011. Sarah specializes in marriage and couples counseling and has received specialized training in Gottman Relational counseling and Emotional - Focused Therapy. Sarah has been trained as an EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) to help those with unresolved trauma and also CBT therapist (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Sarah has also received additional training in SandPlay and Play therapy (a non-directive form of therapy that allows the client to interact with the therapist). Sarah loves her work and enjoys the families that she works with. Sarah believes in creating a place that is safe and without judgement where each person is treated with honor and respect.
Sarah believes in a holistic approach to counseling where all components of the human person are addressed, including psychological, spiritual, and physical. Sarah believes in working through deep issues that may cause serious problems throughout one's life and to create a resolution that brings forth peace and hope.
